  • Your historical recollections are less than accurate. For one, he didn't stand on an Air Craft Carrier and declare that combat was over. They posted a banner that said mission complete because the mission of that particular carrier in the Gulf region was over.

  • My condolences go out to this young mans family, however, I have my reservations about whether he will be the last Soldier to be killed in Iraq or not. I am afraid that there will be more.

  • I'm in the military as well and as far as this goes the Marines DO care about NOT having gays openly serving in their beloved Corp. As for me, I'm in the Army and we don't want them either, we didn't want DADT either, we wanted them GONE before DADT and we want them GONE NOW!!!!!
